Officer uncovers Stolen, Fictitious, Fraudulent Items and Drugs on Car Stop

Ripon Ca. – On Tuesday evening a vehicle traveling in the area of Brady Lane and W. Colony Rd. was stopped by Officer Kenny Steele for equipment and registration violations.

The occupants of the vehicle were identified as Shawn Willard, a transient from the Stockton area, and Kristy Kaelber, of Spokane, Washington.  A search of the vehicle by officers located a variety of stolen items, ranging from a handgun to computers, personnel identification from victims from throughout the Central Valley and Motherlode communities, and Methamphetamine.

Both suspects were booked into the San Joaquin County Jail on several fresh charges, Suspect Willard was booked on additional outstanding warrants out of Stockton and San Joaquin County.

The investigation is continuing as more evidence is being reviewed by investigators and potential victims are contacted.
