RIPON POLICE: MAIL THEFT REPORTS INCREASE

Ripon CA. –The Ripon Police Department has recently received a number of mail theft reports regarding theft from mailboxes both in and around the city. Thieves are breaking into community mailboxes during the night. Citizens are being asked to collect mail from community mailboxes on a daily basis. Mail from singular mailboxes should also be collected on a daily basis. Outgoing mail that contains checks, currency, or other valuables should be taken directly to the post office for delivery. Citizens are being asked to immediately report suspicious activity near community mailboxes.
