LOCAL GIRLS DONATE CASH FOR CRITTERS
Ripon Ca. – The Ripon Police Department has been seeking community donations to assist with efforts to improve the Ripon Animal Shelter. In June the shelter held an open house allowing citizens a chance to tour the shelter, and adopt loving pets. On 08-13-13, three young Ripon girls accompanied by their proud parents came to the police department to donate their hard earned craft making money to the department to assist the animal shelter.
Annie Wild (8), Kiley Holland (10) and Alana Holland (11) worked hard this summer making and selling “Critters for Critters” beaded “Critters” that can be used as key chains, keepsakes or decorations.
Ripon Police Chief Ed Ormonde personally thanked the girls for their donation of thirty one dollars and ten cents. Chief Ormonde said, “The fact that these young Riponities were willing to give their time, effort and hard earned money to assist animals at our shelter is very inspiring.” Ormonde said the donation will assist with animal adoptions.
