PROACTIVE POLICE WORK EQUALS FELONY DRUG AND COUNTERFEIT MONEY ARRESTS

Ripon, CA – On 06-29-13, at approximately 0200 hrs, Officer Brett Delgado was conducting burglary patrols in the area of S. Acacia Ave. and Second St.  He observed a suspicious male, riding a bike without lighting in the darkness through the neighborhood.  The male was contacted and he was found to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine, counterfeit currency and marijuana.   Antonio Orozco (41) of Ripon was booked into the San Joaquin County Jail on felony charges that included possession of a controlled substance, possession of counterfeit currency, possession of controlled substance paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana.

 

On 07-03-13, Ripon’s Special Investigations Unit (SIU) responded to the 1200 block of Seventh St.  to make contact with Orozco.  Upon contact with Orozco, additional suspected counterfeit currency, marijuana and drug paraphernalia was discovered on his person and at his residence.  Antonio Orozco (41) of Ripon, was booked into the San Joaquin County Jail on felony charges that included possession of counterfeit currency, possession of controlled substance paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana.

 

Ripon’s Special Investigations Unit (SIU) is working closely with federal law enforcement partners regarding these cases.
